Many years of experience, results, developed tools and methods of contamination that we apply were not a guarantee that we would achieve our planned results. And that's why the five-month period behind us was a challenge, and therefore the achievements and participation of all interested parties is satisfactory. A set of documents was proposed that will introduce e-trogivna into the legislative framework.
The improvement of the legislative framework and the inclusion of elements that do not currently exist in relation to provisions for the protection of rights in e-commerce did exist, requiring widespread consultation activities and obtaining support for the initiation of initiatives.
10 consultations were held for each institutional level and in different locations. We were joined by the Union of Employers of the RS and the Chamber of Commerce of the RS - sectoral associations of traders and caterers. Proposals, recommendations and qualified explanations have been incorporated into our initiatives for the adoption of the Law on Consumer Protection in the Brčko District, amendments to the Law on Internal Trade of the FBiH, the Rulebook on e-commerce, education programs at all institutional levels for traders and consumer protection associations, as well as guidelines for implementing the proposed initiatives.
Through the project, a Communication Plan or Advocacy Plan was developed in order to legitimately obtain broad public support for the proposed initiatives, but also to create conditions for their acceptance or adoption. We held 6 debates with different participants and in this way secured already at this stage of the project the support of citizens and government representatives at all levels. The number and professional approach of the participants (more than 250) is a guarantee that the proposed changes are positive and that we will make a concrete contribution. improving the legislative framework in the field of e-commerce. Like most projects, this one has additional results, i.e. the aspect of viewing has been expanded and a number of opportunities have been opened for the cooperation of relevant institutions and associations for consumer protection in BiH and beyond, as well as the expanded sphere of action and application of this legal framework. We held consultations and a public discussion with agencies that are directly involved in consumer protection (food safety, medicine, etc.) and based on the collected information, new projects and future harmonization of all regulations that affect the citizen/consumer will be launched.
The meeting with the mediators, that is, the public discussion with the representatives of the Association of Mediators of Southeast Europe, through the exchange of experiences on the regulation of consumer rights and trade in the countries where they operate (Croatia, Serbia, Macedonia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, of course), emphasized the uneven approach. The participants signed the Cooperation Agreement.
